Welcome to PAYUNI, a platform designed to simplify the process of fee payments for international students and their families. By accessing or using the PAYUNI platform (the "Platform"), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). These Terms govern your use of the services provided by PAYUNI, including payment processing, transaction management, and university fee settlements.
Please read these Terms carefully. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the PAYUNI Platform.
1. Definitions
PAYUNI refers to the payment processing platform providing fee payment services to international students.
User refers to the student, parent, or guardian initiating the payment process.
University refers to any educational institution listed on the PAYUNI platform that receives fee payments.
Bank/MSB refers to the financial institutions or Money Service Businesses integrated into the PAYUNI system to process payments.
Transaction refers to the payment process initiated by the User through the PAYUNI platform for the purpose of paying university fees.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age, or have the legal capacity to enter into contracts in your country of residence, to use the PAYUNI Platform. If you are using the Platform on behalf of a minor or another individual, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to do so.
3. Payment Process
By using PAYUNI, you acknowledge and agree to the following steps in the payment process:
3.1 Initiating Payment
Users will begin the payment process by accessing the PAYUNI Platform, selecting the country and university, and initiating a payment via internet banking or by visiting a bank or MSB branch in their respective country.
The Platform offers payment options in CAD and local conversion depending on the country the payment is initiated.
3.2 Verification
Before proceeding with the payment, PAYUNI conducts a verification process to confirm the User’s identity using their government-issued ID, mobile number, and email address.
The User agrees to provide accurate and up-to-date information to complete the verification process. PAYUNI reserves the right to reject any transaction if the information provided is inaccurate or incomplete.
3.3 University Fee Payment
Upon initiating the payment, PAYUNI will verify the due amount using the University Fee Details API or based on the input of fee amount mentioned but the student. The Platform will calculate the payment amount, including any applicable fees, charges, and value-added tax (VAT) based on the transaction’s location.
Users will receive a payment instruction outlining the total amount due, including any taxes or additional charges before the payment is processed.
3.4 Banking/MSB Integration
PAYUNI integrates with authorized Banks/MSBs to facilitate the payment transaction. These financial institutions will process the payment and transfer the funds to the PAYUNI account.
PAYUNI is not responsible for any delays or issues arising from the Bank/MSB's failure to process the transaction.
3.5 Settlement with Universities
Upon successful verification of payment details and receipt of funds in the PAYUNI account, the payment will be transferred to the University via secure Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) channels.
The University will receive confirmation of the fee payment, and the User will be notified of the successful transaction.

4. User Responsibilities
You are responsible for ensuring that all information provided on the PAYUNI platform is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
You must ensure that the funds are available in your account or payment method before initiating any transaction.
You agree not to use the PAYUNI platform for any fraudulent, illegal, or unauthorized activities.
5. Payment Fees
PAYUNI may charge a processing fee for each transaction. The exact amount of the fee will be calculated and disclosed to you before payment is processed.
Any transaction fees, taxes (including VAT), or other charges are the responsibility of the User and will be included in the payment instruction generated on the platform.
6. Security and Data Protection
PAYUNI employs industry-standard encryption and security protocols to protect your personal information and payment data.
By using the PAYUNI platform, you consent to the collection, use, and storage of your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
7. Transaction Confirmation
Once the payment is successfully processed, both the User and the University will receive a transaction confirmation, detailing the payment amount, university details, and confirmation number.
PAYUNI will send real-time notifications to the User to confirm payment status updates, including successful completion or issues that may arise during the transaction process.
8. Refunds and Disputes
PAYUNI does not handle refunds directly. Refunds or disputes related to payments must be addressed directly with the University, once the payment refund to PAYUNI account we will refund the amount to the student on the same way the money received in our account.
In the event of a dispute, the User must provide all relevant transaction details to PAYUNI, and PAYUNI will assist in facilitating communication between the User and the relevant parties.
9. User Support
PAYUNI provides customer support services to assist with any issues or questions related to the payment process. Support can be contacted via care@payuni.ca.
10. Limitation of Liability
PAYUNI is not responsible for any errors, delays, or issues arising from the University, Bank/MSB, or third-party services involved in the transaction.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PAYUNI shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or any transaction.
11. Changes to the Terms
PAYUNI reserves the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the Platform. It is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Ontario, Canada.
13. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
